Purchased locally (For Trinidad and Tobago only) - Age will be based on the local certified copy/registered date.
Japanese Used Vehicles:
Where the Japanese deregistration certificate (Tohon) from Japan is available, we will translate the first registered date for you. Where this is not available, we will be able to accurately determine the manufactured age of your vehicle by the chassis number, (this is not done by using the seatbelts as these can easily be changed).
If you are about to purchase a Japanese Used Vehicle anywhere in the world, it would be wise to know the exact age of your vehicle. Many times vehicle retailers will tell you the car is newer than it actually is.
A point to note is that age is directly proportional to value or perceived value, and therefore you should buy smart, and verify the age of the vehicle before purchase.
